Most of what we own sits unused.

These are some of the most commonly owned objects. Look at how rarely they're actually used.

That's €750 of kit used a handful of hours a year.

Three steps. No money, ever.

01

List what you have

Photograph the things you don't use often. Set a points price per day. Your closet becomes a quiet little library.

02

Borrow what you need

Browse what your neighbors offer. Request the drill for the weekend, the camping tent for the mountain trip, the stand mixer for your kid's birthday cake. Pay in points, never in money.

03

Return when done

Bring it back. Points settle. Everyone earns. Nobody bought a thing they'll use twice.

Built for real neighbourhoods

The Borrow Club is designed for the way neighbours actually share things — locally, quickly, and within walking distance. Pick up your borrow in the same neighbourhood, or walk a few minutes for it.

Not just borrowing. A reason to knock on doors.

Our grandparents borrowed sugar from neighbours, lent ladders to friends, asked the family upstairs for a favour. Now we live above and beside strangers, ordering everything we need overnight, doing it all on our own. We've gained convenience and lost something quieter — the small reasons to know the people who live near us.

A borrowed drill becomes a conversation.

A returned tent becomes coffee.

A favour remembered becomes a friend.

The Borrow Club is about objects. But really, it's also a reason to say hello.

Two friends sharing a camera and a ukulele — a warm, candid moment

Built on trust, not strangers.

Verified members

Every member is verified by email and tied to a specific neighbourhood. No anonymous strangers.

Two-way reviews

After every exchange, both lender and borrower review each other. Trust is built and visible.

Points held in escrow

When you accept a borrow, the borrower's points are held until the item is returned safely.

A whole neighbourhood's worth of stuff.

The Borrow Club is for the things that deserve more use.

What we believe

Owning everything used to make sense. Now it makes less. Apartments are smaller, neighbours are closer, and most of what we buy sits unused. The Borrow Club is a small bet that lending is better than buying — for our wallets, our city, and the planet. It's built around points, not money, because trust shouldn't have a price tag. A club of neighbours, sharing what they have.

Questions, answered.

How do points work?

When you sign up, you get 30 starter points — plus 50 more when you list your first item. Lend an item, earn points equal to its daily price. Borrow an item, spend the same. Points never expire and never convert to money — they're a way to keep the community in balance.

Is it safe to lend to strangers?

The Borrow Club is built for neighbours, not anonymous strangers. You'll see who someone is before agreeing to anything, and exchanges happen in person — usually within a few blocks of where you live. We started in Torino with this exact philosophy: small, local, trust built one drill at a time.

What if something breaks?

It happens. Most exchanges go smoothly, but if something doesn't, both parties can report a problem and we'll help mediate. For high-value items, we recommend a quick chat about expectations before handing it over. Common sense, like lending to a friend.

Why points instead of money?

Money turns sharing into a transaction. Points keep it a community. The whole idea is to use what already exists in the neighborhood, not to create a side hustle. If you've earned 50 points lending your tent, you can spend them on a stand mixer — not on a coffee.

How is this different from renting?

Renting is one-way: a company owns things, you pay to use them. The Borrow Club is sideways: your neighbour owns things, you trade access. No business in the middle, no profit margin, no inventory. Just people sharing what they have.
